Complex Motorization and Technical Scopes
Motorized Shades and Specialty Window Systems
When a commercial window covering project calls for motors, controls, or conditions most vendors pass on, we coordinate power, product, and installation with your team so every system operates as one on the day the owner walks it.
Motorization works with both our commercial shades and our custom drapery. This is where we take on the projects that need more than a standard install: many motors on one system, integrated controls, oversized or hard-to-reach openings, and conditions other vendors pass on.

Motorized and Specialty Scopes We Take On.
-
Motorized roller and solar shades. From a single conference room to an entire building, grouped and zoned so facilities can control a floor or a facade at once.
-
Motorized drapery. Panels built in our own workroom and motorized on Kirsch track, so fabric, fullness, and motor are engineered together rather than pieced together.
-
Controls. Wall controls, remotes, and integration with building or AV systems, coordinated with your electrical and low-voltage trades.
-
Oversized and hard-to-reach openings. Tall glazing, atriums, and oversized openings where manual operation is impractical or unsafe.
-
Specialty conditions. Curved walls, blackout for auditoriums and classrooms, and hospital and high-security installs where access and work windows are tightly controlled.
Our whole experience with Royal Textile (from looking at the different options, estimates/measurements, installs, and follow-ups) exceeded our expectations! Lisa and the install teams were friendly, helpful, courteous, and professional, every step of the way! Highly recommend!"

Where Window Coverings Become a System.
A motorized scope succeeds or fails on coordination long before install day. Power has to land where the motor will sit, pockets have to fit the tube and the fabric roll, and controls have to be sequenced with the electrical scope. Miss one of those at rough-in and the fix is an opened ceiling.
That is why we prefer to come in during preconstruction, review the drawings with your team, and put power and blocking locations in writing. On site, our trained in-house crews install, test every motor, and walk the system with you, managing our own scope so the motorized line item never holds up the trades behind it.

Frequenty Asked Questions
Commerical window coverings in Colorado and Wyoming.

When should we bring you in on a motorized project?
During preconstruction, before framing and electrical rough-in are finalized. Power locations, blocking, and pocket dimensions are set early, and getting them right then is far cheaper than correcting them after drywall.
Can drapery be motorized?
Yes. We build drapery in our own Denver workroom and motorize it on Kirsch track, engineering the fabric, fullness, and motor together so the panels travel and stack correctly.
Do you coordinate with the electrical contractor?
Yes. We provide power and control locations in writing and coordinate with your electrical and low-voltage trades so the system is ready when we install.
What is the difference between motorized shades and standard window coverings?
The shade fabric can be the same. Motorization adds motors, power, and controls, which turns a product install into a coordinated system that has to be planned with other trades.
Can you service motorized systems after install?
Yes. We troubleshoot motors, controls, and programming on systems we installed, and our Repair, Replacement & Maintenance team handles ongoing service.
